Digital Formats
Digital copy only. High-resolution Acrobat v1.3 PDF Files of PDF X-1a:2001 format created to PPA Pass4Press specification.
(Note: Ensure a transparency flattener is applied to the PDF preset when creating PDFs with Adobe InDesign)

UBM cannot be held responsible for any errors occurring if the PDF is not supplied to these specifications.
Please also note if you are creating a file in InDesign, please ensure that the Transparency flattener is applied and configured to the pdf pre-set.
Documents: We can ONLY accept artwork created in QuarkXpress, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Please do not attempt to send artwork made using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Corel draw or any other software. These cannot be used and will be rejected.
Fonts: All fonts must be supplied with the document (preferably from the Monotype, Bitstream or Linotype Classic Libraries) otherwise stock fonts may be used which can result in text reflows etc. For EPSs please convert text to outlines.
Images: We accept TIFFs, EPSs and JPEGs.
Colours: Must be saved as CMYK not RGB, Greyscale, Bitmap or Pantone etc on both documents and images.
Production Notes
The publisher cannot accept stop-orders, cancellation or transfers unless they are received in writing within the publisher’s stated final copy dates. These are a minimum of 6 weeks for all single advertisements and annual advertisements on a ’till-countermanded’ basis.
All copy should arrive no later than Tuesday, ten days prior to publication.
